How personal data is handled in quotations, translation projects and professional communications.
Consumer early-commencement confirmation
When a consumer uses the immediate-commencement confirmation page, the data necessary to document the express request are processed: quotation reference, selected option, name, email, checked declarations, Terms of Service version and confirmation date/time. The confirmation is processed through Cloudflare/Turnstile infrastructure and sent by email through Resend to the client and Luís Valente.
These data are processed for performance of the contract, compliance with distance-contract obligations and evidence of the contractual relationship. They form part of contractual/correspondence records and are retained for as long as necessary for those purposes and the establishment or defence of rights, subject to any longer mandatory legal periods.

Data processed
Depending on the service, this may include contact details, quotation and billing data, correspondence and the contents of documents, audio or video supplied for translation, revision or transcription.
Documents containing third-party data
Legal, academic, immigration and professional documents may contain personal data relating to third parties, special-category data or criminal-conviction data. Where a corporate or institutional client determines the purposes of processing, I may act as a processor under Article 28 GDPR.
Retention

Recipients
Data may be shared only as necessary with email/hosting providers, Cloudflare (hosting and Turnstile anti-abuse validation), Resend (email routing for website form requests), accounting services, certifying professionals, apostille authorities, couriers or public authorities where legally required or necessary for the requested service. Some technical providers may process data outside the EEA subject to the applicable GDPR transfer mechanisms. The contact form allows multiple files to be attached directly. Form fields and attachments are processed through Cloudflare infrastructure and routed by email through Resend to the professional address stated on this website. Attachments may contain personal data and are processed to assess the request, prepare a quotation and, where applicable, perform the requested service. Users should ensure that they are authorised to transmit third-party personal data.
Rights
Depending on the legal basis, data subjects may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability under the GDPR. Complaints may be lodged with the Portuguese CNPD.
Advertising measurement
With the visitor’s consent, the site may load the Google tag associated with Google Ads to measure advertising effectiveness and record a successfully submitted quote request as a conversion. This optional processing is based on consent. If consent is rejected, the Google tag is not loaded. The choice can be changed at any time through the cookie preferences. Google may process technical data and identifiers under the terms applicable to its services, including through international transfers subject to the applicable safeguards.
